Girard Perregaux, a luxury Swiss watchmaking company has released the Le Corbusier timepiece trilogy collection that pays tribute to designer, urban planner as well as architect.
Le Corbusier was a writer, designer, and architect, known for being one of the established modern architectures. The collection of the timepieces has been designed to symbolize cities associated with Le Chaux-de-Fonds, Marseille, Paris, and Switzerland.
The first piece launched this week is being sold for RM164, 513 (50,000CHF) and it features his early works recreated through a bas-relief of pearl dial, paying tribute to his native city Switzerland, while the second watch represents Paris, where he moved in 1914. It costs about 20,000CHF. The third timepiece, representing Marseille is available for 30,000CHF.
